In other words: this is a game that is going to be a huge seller, but does it deserve to be? Let’s find out. Still, Modern Warfare 3 is obviously a game that’s going to sell millions of copies on day one and break all kinds of sales records, but it becomes a question whether or not all of these developments have affected the game or its perception in any way. It also didn’t help that Activision ended up having to basically reconstruct Infinity Ward after the departure of so many employees, or that Activision had to pull Sledgehammer and Raven into the mix to help with development. Not that there haven’t been some hiccups leading up to this point, of course the legal issues surrounding Activision dismissing key members of Infinity Ward, the subsequent departure of half of the Infinity Ward team, the announcement of and confusion surrounding Call of Duty: Elite, and the launch of competing product Battlefield 3 by Electronic Arts weeks before the launch of Modern Warfare 3 all obviously hurt to different degrees. To say, then, that Modern Warfare 3 was a hotly anticipated title for a good number of people would be an understatement for a number of reasons. After Infinity Ward’s epic Modern Warfare 2 and the amazing response that followed, Treyarch followed last year with Black Ops, a game that was largely considered pretty good but has been judged by the majority as equal to or worse than Modern Warfare 2. So what are your thoughts on all of this? Does this help provide some closure for you now knowing that Frost was indeed in the mission? Or does this make the need for foreclosure even bigger for you now knowing Frost could either be dead or alive with the rest of Metal and we just simply don't know? Let me know your thoughts in the comments.Developer: Infinity Ward/Sledgehammer Games/Raven SoftwareĪnother year, another Call of Duty title, so goes the legacy of the franchise.

It is unknown what happens to him after he leaves, but it is possible he could go on to become an important piece of MW4. He was escorted out of the mines in a Little Bird helicopter afterwards (note: this is not the same little bird, Vulture 6-1, which is shot down in the mineshaft later during Metal's and 141's extraction: the only person on board this helicopter was the pilot, who went by the name Hazard). (Which, if you think about it, makes Frost at least somewhat responsible for the deaths of Sandman, Grinch, and Truck, as their exfil plan had to be reformed due to the mine being collapsed). He escapes the base and is extracted out by a Little Bird helicopter.įrost was planting the self destruct DSM in the base, which is the reason the mine had collapsed in on itself. Frost is instructed to plant a DSM on the computer in the room, which triggers explosives in the cave, causing it to begin collapsing in on itself. Frost rides in on a snowmobile, takes out all the enemies on the way, and makes it to a room in the facility with a computer. Rather than send him in with the rest of the extraction team in the Siberian Diamond Mine, Delta Force had Frost go on a different mission to infiltrate a different part of the base (the exact reason Delta Force made this decision is unclear, but its likely because they needed someone with high skill to infiltrate it to ensure it was done).

So, what exactly happened to him and what did he do?
